Call for Papers
We invite submissions for the Workshop on Economics of Social Conflict, to be held at University of Chile on November 2026.
Topics of interest
We particularly encourage submissions on topics including, but not limited to:
- Conflicts over labor rights, gender equality, racial and ethnic inclusion, and access to resources or political power;
- Causes and consequences of wars, military institutions, and political violence;
- Economic and demographic impacts of armed conflict;
- Legacies of war on fertility, health, and migration;
- The role of military service in shaping social mobility, identity, and citizenship;
- Interaction between political institutions, conflict, and long-run development;
- Strategic behavior of political elites under social pressures or wartime demands.

Limited financial support may be available for accepted paper presenters. Please indicate your need for financial support in the submission form.
